Women’s swimming and diving falls to Harvard in Friday dual

PROVIDENCE, RI – The brown women’s swim (1-3, 1-3 Ivy) dropped Friday afternoon at Harvard’s Katherine Moran Coleman Aquatics Center (2-0, 1-0 Ivy). The Bears had three first places against the Crimson.

“We put up a tough fight against the defending champions from Ivy tonight,” said the head coach Kate Kovenock. “I’m excited to see how we build this team and who we become this fall. Tomorrow is a significant growth opportunity for our women to turn around and risk it all again.”

Sara beret continued their strong early season, scoring the only two singles wins that day for the Bears. Barrett placed first in both the 1000 freestyle (10:12.41) and 500 freestyle (4:58.79). Brown also won the 400 freestyle relay with the team of Anna Podurgiel, Audrey Orange, Kelly Dolce and Morgan Lukinac Touching the wall in 3:27.75.

Jenna Reznicek posted the fastest backstroke time in the 200 medley (25.52).
