Ohio State Holds Commitments From Top Two 2024 Recruits

Ohio State secured a commitment from Hollywood (Fla.) Chaminade-Madonna Prep, a five-star wide receiver, Wednesday night Jeremiah Smiththe Buckeyes are now keeping promises from the top two prospects in 247 sports composite rankings for the Class of 2024.
Smith, who ranks as the highest-rated wide receiver and No. 2 nationwide, teams up with Chandler, Arizona, a five-star quarterback Dylan Raiolathe nation’s No. 1, who became the first member of the Buckeyes’ top-rated group in May.
Ohio State is the only program with commitments from two five-star prospects, though Alabama, Florida, Florida State and Georgia have one each. The Buckeyes are also among early favorites for Georgia five-star safety KJ BoldenFlorida’s Five Star Athlete Joshisa “JoJo” trader and in-state five-star cornerback Bryce West.
If their recruit ranking stays the same, Raiola would tie the quarterback Quinn Ewers for the highest rated prospect ever signed with the state of Ohio. Smith, meanwhile, would only run after quarterback Terrelle Pryorwide receiver Ted Gin Jr and defensive end JT Tuimoloau in the eternal ranking.
Smith would also technically outplay wide receivers Julian Fleming as the top-rated wide receiver to sign with the Buckeyes, since Ginn was actually recruited as a cornerback before switching positions midway through his freshman season at Columbus.
