The Thorns had long momentum in the semifinals when they pressed and the team needs to make sure they convert when generating their attack. Kansas City was able to put on a collective performance in front of goal in the semifinals, grabbing 37 clearances and conceding one goal. It will come down to whether or not Kansas City can stay organized again against one of the best offensive teams in the league. Expect Thorns forward and NWSL MVP finalist Sophia Smith to pull it all together on the big stage. Choose: Portland Thorns 2, Kansas City Current 1.
