BATON ROUGE, LA, UNITED STATES, Nov. 17, 2022 /EINPresswire.com/ — Tigers women’s basketball forward Angel Reese has entered into a name, likeness and likeness agreement (NIL ) signed.
Reese was ranked No. 2 overall player in the Class of 2022 by ESPN, earning her spot at the top. She led her high school basketball team to three IAAM championships and two conference titles at St. Frances Academy in Maryland, but the accolades don’t stop there. She was twice named Player of the Year by the Baltimore Sun and was named to the USA Today First team, in addition to a long list of other accomplishments that she achieved as a pure high school athlete.
The home hero’s college basketball career began with the Maryland Terrapins. As the team’s top scorer and top rebounder, she led her team to the Sweet 16 of 2022. After playing two seasons for the Maryland Terrapins, she was named the 2022 transfer portal’s top player and found her way to the LSU Tigers to start her career to continue.
Making her debut in the Tigers’ season opener against the Bellarmine Vikings, Reese’s remarkable first-half goal set the Lady Tigers up for a 125-50 win over the Knights. Reese’s performance throughout the game is a clear indication of the value she will add to the Lady Tigers team.
McKernan remains grateful that Reese’s basketball career took her to Louisiana. “I look forward to welcoming Angel to Baton Rouge with a place on the G-Team. Their energy and excitement is sure to show both on the court and in the community,” said McKernan.
