‘Happy New Year. People. Right down here on Bondi Beach. I was just doing a few laps in the soft sand and then I saw two people get swept up in a crack,” he said through gasping breaths.

“So I had to put my lifeguard hat on and go outside and grab one of them and drag it back to shore.”

Tim said he was then met halfway by a Bondi lifeguard who is believed to have saved the other civilian.

“Anyway, that was a bit of a fuss, Happy New Year. It’s quite a busy day down here. I’ll go home and have a beer,” he added.

Shortly after the incident, The Bachelor told his 223,000 followers on Instagram about the rescue in a video

“Surely there has to be some kind of medal or an exclusive club or something that I can join afterwards,” he continued.

“Maybe they call this a surf club.”

The former reality star further explained the scary incident in his caption.

‘Happy New Year! Started potentially saving a life hehe…saw a couple screaming for help and by the time I got there she was a foot under the water,” he wrote.
